Beelitzer Heilstätten // Part 1

Beelitzer Heilstätten is one of the most beautiful and special places I’ve ever seen. It is a large complex of abandoned buildings that used to be clinic and sanatorium for curing tuberculosis. The complex is situated in Beelitz, not far from Berlin and attracts crowds of photographers and urban explorers.

The construction works started in 1898 by the architect Heino Schmieden. During the WWI and WWII the complex served as a military hospital.

Some buildings were recently closed due to reconstruction works, so I feel blessed to have a chance to see it before.

It is just a first brief introduction of Beelitzer Heilstätten here, soon I will post more pictures and stories.

This place has much to tell!
