Predappio, Mussolini’s birthplace

Predappio is a tiny town in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, 15 km from Forli, where I spent a semester studying at the University of Bologna. The place is only known by the fact that there was born (1883) and buried (1945) the fascist dictator Benito Mussolini.

Dachau concentration camp

 
Dachau was the first concentration camp of the nazi Germany. It was built in 1933 and was a model for other concentration camps and a “school of violence” for the SS officers. It was in Dachau where the system of physical punishments and way of psychological pressure was developed and tested.
